Theatre of Italy

Pics from the work of Massimo Siragusa Teatro d’Italia are displayed at gallery Anteprima d’Arte Contemporanea, a path into the history of Italian cities and their symbols.
The exhibition curated by Gianpaolo Arena leads visitors into squares, arenas, monuments, churches, streets ext. from all over the Italian country, in order to make them feel how deeply history is truly lived by places.
In particular the city becomes the crucial subject of Siragusa’s photos, in fact the photographer portraits cities as the centre of man existence and social life in which every place tales of a mutual relationship among urban pattern and people.
The city, thought as keeper of historical memory and civilization, reveals an identity full of never-ending changes and revolutions, which by adding or subtracting create new spaces according to men’s mind and culture. These continue metamorphosis can also be assumed as an expression of human feelings and ideas passed and enriched across times.
People’s culture and history can be seen and found in every Italian landscape portrayed in these photographs. This inner beauty contained in the Italian cities create in the visitor a thirst of knowledge that he could calm down only by observing and thinking and imagine the world lived in these theatres of Italy.
