Sebastião Salgado. Genesis

Genesis is the latest opus by the world-renowned documentary photographer Sebastião Salgado. His heartfelt look conveys and stresses the need for safeguarding our planet, changing our lifestyle; it urges us to adopt new behaviours that are respectful of nature, and our surroundings, and to achieve harmony again. It is a journey to the origins of the world to protect its future.

The photos on display, about 245, are the result of an eight-year trip undertaken to explore the beauty of some of the most remote areas of our planet. The exhibition is curated by Lélia Wanick Salgado based on a project by Contrasto and Amazonas Images and has been made possible by the cooperation between Civita Mostre and the Department for Cultural Activities and Tourism of the City of Naples, which has produced other remarkable photography exhibitions. It will be hosted at PAN - Palazzo delle Arti Napoli until January 28th 2018.

The exhibition Genesis by Sebastião Salgado has successfully toured the world, meeting with great appreciation in every city. Powerful in its quintessential purity, the message of Genesis is terribly modern in the prominence it gives to the issue of protecting our planet by living in a more harmonic relationship with our environment, which has proven to be a priority.
