Photissima Art Prize Turin 2015

The fifth edition of Photissima Prize is a major initiative by Artèvision Foundation promoting and enhancing photographic arts in occasion of Photissima Art Fair Turin 2015 the International Photography Fair (November 4 - 30, 2015).
Entrance to the Photissima Award is open to artists with no restrictions (age, gender, nationality, etc.). Artists are invited to propose from one to several works. Both analog, digital and digitally processed photographs are admitted; all computer generated photography is excluded. Series can be displayed as a single artwork provided that measures don’t exceed 75x75 cm, or else they must be considered multiples submissions. The works submitted should be named name, surname and title, and have to be of the highest quality possible (real 300dpi ideally). The application form must be sent to Photissima Festival, via e-mail, until September 30th with a copy of the payment. Under 25 aged artists are requested to send copy of their identity card too.
A personal exhibition at Photissima Art Fair, which is due to take place in Turin from the 4th to the 30th November 2015, and the dedicated catalogue are provided to the 10 selected artists, together with the opportunity of collaborating with national and international art galleries (Galeries Awards, only for the three best finalists) and the chance of a personal exhibition at Photissima Art Fair Turin 2016 (Photissima Award, only for the winner). The winning photo will become part of the Photissima Art Fair & Festival Collection and will be donated by the artist to Fondazione Artevision that protects and preserves the collection.

Amina Okuyeva poses for the photo in a flat she shares with her mother and son. She was on Maidan from December 2014 working as a medical volunteer. In that time her husband was in prison accused of the attempt to kill Russian President Putin. After Euromaidan revolution he was pardoned and together with Amina joined international peacekeeping battalion of volunteers to support Ukraine in fighting against the pro-Russian insurgency.
