Made/Unmade

The exhibition Made/Unmade, curated by Marcella Beccaria, shows off many of the main works created by the Londoner artist Uriel Orlow, such as the Unmade Film. This long-term project has its roots in the history of the mental hospital Kfar Shau’l established in order to treat Holocaust victims and located near Jerusalem, upon the ruins of the Palestinian village Deir Yassin destroyed by Zionist paramilitaries in 1948. This and the other works displayed aim to analyse the impossibilty to tell logically a highly complex story and they outline at the same time the inadequacy of artistic tools in expressing properly the cruelty of human beings.
Made/Unmade will be inaugurated at Castello di Rivoli on Thursday, June 25th, 2015 at 7.00 pm.
